"AI-Readiness: Permissible use case with Meta-data tagging”

In an era defined by artificial intelligence and data democratization, the ability to distinguish between open-access data assets and those with usage restrictions is critical. This session will explore real-world use cases—from client contracts to compliance documentation and shareable content—to unpack the complexities of data governance in AI environments.

We’ll examine key questions, including:

  • How can organizations interpret and assess the risks tied to data-intensive documents?
  • What are the common constraints introduced by client agreements and regulatory compliance?
  • How can institutions develop a practical framework for defining and enforcing permissible data use?

Central to this discussion is the role of metadata tagging—not just as a technical feature, but as an enabler of clear communicationpolicy enforcement, and auditability. We’ll demonstrate how properly structured metadata supports attribution, empowers compliance teams, and enables large language models (LLMs) to function safely within governed environments.
